KEY FEATURES

  • Imparts alkalinity to the laundry bath, which is essential in effective cleaning

  • Effective oil and anti-redeposition agent

  • Reacts with lauryl sulphate to form the foaming base surfactant in hair shampoo

  • Neutralizes fatty acids to form excellent emulsifiers for oil-in-water emulsions (gel-type industrial hand cleaners, aerosol shave cream, hand and body lotions)

  • Used as a base component of certain mild bar soap
