Duro Kimia is the supplier of genuine high quality Glutaraldehyde antimicrobial from Lanxess in Malaysia. Known for its biocidal activity, the Glutaraldehyde is effectively used to control the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria and fungus (including spores). It is formaldehyde free, non-carcinogenic, non-persistent and non-bioaccumulative. It can readily biodegrade into non-toxic substances such as carbon dioxide and water, but never into formaldehyde.

The Glutaraldehyde is listed on the World Health Organization (WHO)’s List of Essential Medicines, the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system.

This microbiocide is known under its heritage name as UCARCIDE 50. Here at Duro Kimia, we only supply genuine Glutaraldehyde – without any contamination nor additive such as formaldehyde or glyoxal.

  • Excellent compatibility with surfactants (anionic, cationic and non-ionic)

  • Biocidal activity over a broad pH and temperature range

  • Good compatibility with other antimicrobials – ie: KATHON WT, Benzalkonium Chloride

  • High salt tolerance

  • Non-corrosive to metals at recommended use levels

  • Complete solubility in water

  • End-use concentrations of Glutaraldehyde can easily be analysed on site with field test kits, or in the laboratory by several different methods

  • Extremely quick kill (within 5-10 minutes) with shock dosing in highly contaminated water systems

  • Does not contain nor release formaldehyde

  • Concrete admixtures
  • General preservative use
